This Privacy Policy describes how AI Comic Grading ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles information when you use our mobile application (available on Android and iOS) and website (aicomicgrading.com). By using the app or site, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an authentication token and, where permitted by those platforms, your email address.
• Photos you submit: Images of comic book defects that you voluntarily upload through the app or website. These are used to train and improve our AI grading model.
• Grading history: When you are signed in, your submissions and AI-generated grades are stored in association with your account so you can review them later.
• Submission metadata: A submission ID, the number of photos in a batch, and a timestamp linked to your account.
• Basic usage data: Standard server logs may include your IP address and device type for security and abuse prevention purposes.

• To create and maintain your account and authenticate you when you sign in.
• To store and display your grading history within the app.
• To build and improve the AI comic book grading model.
• To display the community submission count on our website.
• To display recent community grading activity on our website. This may include the title of a graded comic and the AI-assigned grade. No account name or identifying information is shown.
• To evaluate and improve AI grading accuracy. Members of our team may review submitted photos and their AI-assigned grades to assess model performance and identify errors.
• To promote the service on social media. We may share example comic photos and their AI-assigned grades publicly (e.g., on Instagram, X, or similar platforms). No account name or identifying information is included.
• To send transactional emails (e.g., account verification) via Amazon SES.
• To maintain the security and reliability of our service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Photos you submit are stored securely in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3. When you are signed in, submissions are linked to your account so you can view your grading history. Photos are also used to train and improve the AI Comic Grading model. By submitting photos, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use those images for the purposes of developing and improving our AI model, evaluating grading accuracy, and promoting the service (including on social media).

Please do not submit photos that contain personal information, faces, or anything other than comic book defects.

Account information and grading history are retained until you request deletion of your account. Submitted photos are retained for as long as they are useful for AI model training; deleting your account removes the link between your identity and your submissions but does not automatically remove the photos from our training dataset. If you would like your photos removed as well, please state that explicitly in your deletion request. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and then deleted.

Our app and website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account or submitted information through our service, please contact us and we will remove it promptly. For iOS users, this app is not intended for use by anyone under 13 in accordance with Apple's App Store guidelines.

We use the following third-party infrastructure services:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud storage (S3), serverless computing (Lambda), database (DynamoDB) for account data and grading history, and email delivery (SES) for transactional messages.
• Sign in with Apple: If you choose to sign in with Apple, Apple processes your authentication. We receive a user identifier and, where you permit it, your email address. Apple's privacy policy applies to that interaction.
• Sign in with Google: If you choose to sign in with Google, Google processes your authentication. We receive a user identifier and your email address. Google's privacy policy applies to that interaction.

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

Because submissions made while signed in are linked to your account, you have the following rights:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: You may ask us to correct inaccurate information associated with your account.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing info@aicomicgrading.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

If you submitted photos without an account, we have no way to associate those submissions with you. Contact us with as much detail as possible (e.g., approximate date, submission ID) and we will do our best to locate and delete them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
